Job summary

Covista in Lisle, IL, is seeking a Student Finance Analyst to support essential student finance operations, including Title IV awarding, verification, disbursement and credit balance processing.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver accurate, compliant financial aid processing, analyze reports, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining SLAs and a high level of service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 2 years in student accounts and/or financial aid preferred.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Professional, detail-oriented and able to maintain integrity.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment.
• Proactive in researching student finance regulations.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of processes, procedures, and policies.
• Apply Title IV knowledge with minimal guidance, including troubleshooting issues.
• Generate, analyze, and interpret reports to support student finance operations.
• Identify trends within student finance data and conduct root cause analysis.
• Proactively communicate risks and recommended solutions to stakeholders.
• Support system or database conversions in partnership with leadership and IT.
• Take ownership of key processes and mentor teammates.
• Meet team objectives, deadlines, and SLAs, communicating risks to timelines.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
