Job summary

Unitek Learning is seeking an Agency Billing Specialist (Student Finance Analyst) to oversee posting of Cal Grants, scholarships, and other funding to student accounts. You will post funds, reconcile the Anthology system, and maintain data accuracy across related databases.

You will monitor cash flows for various funding sources, prepare reconciliations, and support invoicing for third-party agencies, while staying current on funding regulations and policy requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a business office, banking or accounting environment.
• Preference for experience as Financial Aid Assistant or Specialist at a higher education institution.
• Bachelor’s degree with coursework in business, finance, auditing or accounting preferred.
• MS Office proficiency, especially Excel, required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor expected cash flow for private student loan funds; post funds to ledger accounts and reconcile Anthology SIS with external databases.
• Monitor VA/DoD student funding; post funds and reconcile Anthology SIS with external databases.
• Monitor Cal Grant funds; post funds and reconcile Anthology SIS with external databases.
• Monitor institutional scholarships, grants and discounts; post funds on a timely basis.
• Maintain student information system and related databases; resolve data conflicts with other departments.
• Prepare file reconciliations for accurate accounting of receipts and payments.
• Maintain knowledge of awarding rules, SAP, and basic accounting; attend training on funding regulations.
• Assist with preparation and tracking of student invoices for third party agencies.
• Ensure documentation and recordkeeping comply with policies.
• Prepare and disseminate reports on student receivables and payments.
