Job summary

Ultimate Medical Academy (UMA) in Tampa, FL, is seeking an organized financial aid/accounting specialist to support student communications, FAFSA follow-ups, and clearance processes. You will help ensure students depart with no balance while maintaining compliance with federal regulations.

The role requires strong customer service, familiarity with Title IV regulations, and the ability to work evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service and written and verbal communication.
• Working knowledge of Title IV regulations (preferred).
• Computer and internet literacy, or ability to learn CampusVue.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
• Home office set up with high-speed internet and on-camera capability.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate student communications and emails.
• Follow up on FAFSA and missing document renewals for continuing students.
• Manage externship and graduation clearance so students leave without a balance.
• Check NSLDS for default status, overpayments and aggregate loan limits.
• Answer financial aid and student account inquiries by phone and email.
• Reduce average accounts receivable for assigned students.
• Follow federal, state and accreditation compliance requirements.
