Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC in Madison, PA is seeking a Field Services Student Technician on the Steam Generator team. You will support our Inspection Service Business, performing manual and robotic inspections and component cleaning during outages.

You will be based at the Waltz Mill facility in Madison, PA. You will learn radiation safety, tool preparation, and basic equipment handling across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems while working with experienced staff to ensure

Qualifications

• Must be able to drive.
• Must be a student and 18 years old.
• Ability to lift 50lbs or more.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with experienced technicians and engineers on inspection tooling for a variety of services.
• Detail oriented tool preparation to support teams deployed to outages.
• Disassemble, clean, decontaminate, inspect, install, repair, and assemble basic equipment (mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic).
• Site specific training, radiation safety, hazard communication and rigging.
• Demonstrate, understand and practice Human Performance Tools, INPO Principals, Industrial Health & Safety, and ALARA principals, specific security requirements, and the importance of observing both Westinghouse and customer license requirements.
• Take initiative on assigned tasks with little oversight.
