Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Field Services Student Technician on our Steam Generator team in Madison, PA. You will support our Inspection Service Business, performing manual and robotic inspections, as well as component cleaning services, in a fast-paced environment with varying projects.

You will report to the Manager of Steam Generator Resources and be based at our Waltz Mill facility in Madison, PA, contributing to outages and tool preparation alongside seasoned technicians and

Qualifications

• Must be a student and 18 years old.
• Must be able to drive.
• Ability to lift 50lbs or more.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with experienced technicians and engineers on inspection tooling for a variety of services.
• Detail oriented tool preparation to support teams deployed to outages.
• Disassemble, clean, decontaminate, inspect, install, repair, and assemble basic equipment (mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic).
• Site specific training, radiation safety, hazard communication and rigging.
• Demonstrate, understand and practice Human Performance Tools, INPO Principals, Industrial Health & Safety, and ALARA principals, specific security requirements, and the importance of observing both Westinghouse and customer license requirements.
• Take initiative on assigned tasks with little oversight.
