Job summary

University of Oklahoma is seeking a student member to perform custodial, facilities and inventory support duties on campus.

The role offers a targeted pay of $10 per hour and a weekend evening schedule (2pm–9pm on Saturdays and Sundays). Eligibility requires current enrollment for the Fall Term at OU. No benefits eligibility is noted, and travel is not required. Candidates may assist with routine cleaning, minor maintenance, and recycling programs as directed.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in Fall Term as a student at the University of Oklahoma.
• Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.

Responsibilities

• Mops, sweeps, waxes, and polishes floors.
• Cleans and dusts furniture and equipment.
• Locks and unlocks offices, classrooms, and conference areas.
• Collects and disposes of wastepaper and refuse while supporting campus recycling program.
• Vacuums carpeted areas where applicable.
• Maintains lavatories and restrooms in a sanitary condition.
• May shovel snow from doorways and sidewalks.
• Performs building maintenance duties such as cleaning, changing light bulbs, light painting, etc.
• Inspects work environment to determine repairs.
• Maintains and performs minor repairs on field equipment.
• Calculates dimensions of replacement parts used in maintenance of equipment and facilities.
• Contacts appropriate person(s) to set up and maintain field equipment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Introduction:

Performs custodial, facilities, and inventory support duties.

Duties may include some or all of the following:

• Mops, sweeps, waxes, and polishes floors.
• Cleans and dusts furniture, equipment, etc.
• Locks and unlocks offices, classrooms, and conference areas.
• Collects and disposes of wastepaper and refuse while participating in the campus recycling program as directed.
• Vacuums carpeted areas where applicable.
• Maintains lavatories and restrooms in a sanitary condition.
• May shovel snow from doorways and sidewalks.
• Performs building maintenance duties, such as cleaning, changing light bulbs, light painting, etc.
• Inspects work environment to determine any repairs.
• Maintains and performs minor repairs on field equipment following training, to include equipment at remote sites.
• Calculates the dimensions of replacement parts used in the maintenance of equipment and facilities using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Contacts appropriate person(s) routinely in the process of setting up and maintaining field equipment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
