The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking a Regular, full-time Maintenance Technician in Edmond, OK. The role encompasses general maintenance, skilled plumbing, drywall and paint, light carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and event setups.

The hourly rate is $18.00 which translates to $37,440.00 per year.
The general schedule for this position is 40 hours per week and will require work in varying shifts at times; it may be necessary to respond to weekend and after-hours emergencies.
This position performs both general maintenance and repair duties, specialized plumbing work, and drywall and paint. Responsibilities also encompass light carpentry, basic electrical, HVAC, grounds maintenance, furniture arrangement, waste/recycling management, and event setups. The role ensures customer needs are met while adhering to all University policies and procedures. Coordination with outside contractors and supervision of others may be required. This position works with minimal supervision.

Ability to work independently or as a member of a team, depending upon project needs. Good base knowledge of all phases of maintenance and repair and the tools and techniques utilized for various projects. Must work and coordinate with a variety of individuals (students, staff, and specialized trade technicians) through verbal and written communication to diagnose, repair, and/or follow-up on maintenance requests and preventive maintenance projects. Knowledge of and ability to use different hand tools and specialized equipment commonly used in repair and maintenance work.
