Job summary

Western Governors University is seeking an Enrollment Counselor to guide prospective students from initial inquiry through day one. You will blend personal, empathetic guidance with AI-assisted tools to help candidates choose programs aligned with their goals. You’ll work across time zones in the U.S., typically 8 a.m.

to 7 p.m. local time, with travel to a few events yearly. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in customer service or consultative sales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2+ years of customer service or consultative sales experience.
• Multitask across phone, email, text, chat and software (Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

• Guide prospective students through enrollment with empathy and personalized support.
• Support students using AI agents and self-service tools with human guidance when needed.
• Build genuine relationships through active listening and encouragement.
• Explain programs, enrollment steps, and requirements in clear language.
• Partner with students to match goals to the right program.
• Keep records of student interactions across systems including CRM.
• Travel to 1–2 work events per year.
