Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience in event management or related student-support work.
• Understands and follows FERPA guidelines.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues during events, manage resources, plans budgets, and makes sound decisions.
• Able to make meaningful and engaging decisions for undergraduate students.
• Familiarity with social media management, CMS, and newsletter formatting.
• Evening and weekend engagement and occasional in-state travel required.

Responsibilities

• Support student success initiatives including orientation events, week of welcome, peer mentor programs, and coordinating with CFAES staff for year-end activities.
• Coordinate Living-Learning Communities programs, early arrival programming, and student projects; co-instructor for CFAES seminars.
• Provide co-advising for CFAES Student Council and support student clubs and organizations; train leaders and coordinate recognitions.
• Handle daily administrative operations: budgeting, requisitions, room reservations, and vendor management; promote efficiency and quality.
• Develop and distribute weekly Academic Programs newsletter and coordinate marketing materials for events.
• Plan and execute student recognition events and travel opportunities; oversee LLC renewals and student support.
