Job summary

The University of West Florida is seeking a Students Organizations and Events Coordinator within the Student Engagement department. This role oversees registration of student organizations, advises officers/advisors, and manages annual A&S budget allocations.

It collaborates with campus partners to promote student involvement through fairs, workshops, and events, and trains the Student Organization Council.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelors degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.
• Includes knowledge of event planning principles and program assessment practices.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Oversee registration of student organizations and support officers/advisors through digital resources and workshops.
• Develop and manage a Student Organization Council for review and approval of new RSOs; train governing board.
• Coordinate signature programs and events (fairs, recognition opportunities, Homecoming, etc.) and oversee the annual Student Involvement Awards.
• Provide leadership development workshops for student leaders and connect service opportunities to the Pensacola community.
• Oversee Argo Pulse platform administration and educate users across campus.
• Serve on university committees and participate in events as needed.
