Job summary

UW-Whitewater's University Center is seeking a Student Engagement Program Specialist to support 60+ student organizations and segregated fee-funded programs. The role focuses on fiscal administration, budgeting, travel, and compliance, guiding student leaders in financial stewardship using Workday.

The position advises SUFAC, assists with reporting, training, and policy interpretation, and collaborates with campus partners to promote transparent use of funds while supporting student programming

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, higher Education, Student Affairs, Education, Leadership Studies, Public Administration, or related field.
• Demonstrated professional experience in financial administration, business operations, student affairs, or higher education.
• Experience managing budgets, financial processes, purchasing, travel, or fiscal compliance.
• Experience advising, training, mentoring, or supervising students or staff.
• Demonstrated organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Writes, edits, and publishes content for communication projects and marketing campaigns.
• Organizes student-focused programming and resources for educational initiatives.
• Serves as a subject matter expert regarding student affairs to stakeholders.
• Generates and analyzes reports of curricular and unit outcomes.
• Oversees schedules, logistics, and resources for student programs and services.
