Job summary

Instituto del Progreso Latino seeks a University-level Student Engagement Coordinator to support day-to-day pre-admission operations and student recruitment efforts. The role welcomes prospective students and coordinates information sessions, orientations, and campus events.

The coordinator will handle intake, provide program information, manage scheduling, and collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance student engagement and retention initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Two years of experience in higher education, pre-admissions, customer service, or office administration preferred.
• Demonstrated organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to handle confidential student, personnel, and institutional information with discretion.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
• Strong analytical and writing skills, including preparing decision memoranda, gap assessments, and reports.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams; work with student information, compliance, and reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Director of Student Financial Affairs and college staff.
• Coordinate day-to-day office operations, schedules, and meeting coordination.
• Greet prospect applicants, visitors, students, faculty, and community partners professionally.
• Answer calls, emails, and inquiries; provide accurate program and pre-admission information.
• Coordinate placement testing, pre-admissions interviews, and orientation sessions.
• Assist with recruitment activities and community outreach events.
• Analyze data and prepare dashboards and reports for college leadership.
