New-College-of-Florid seeks an Assistant Director of Student Engagement and Activities to support the Director in coordinating SEA programs, events, and student involvement. The Assistant Director of Student Engagement and Activities(SEA) works closely with the Director to support the day-to-day coordination and implementation of SEA programs, events, and student engagement initiatives. The position helps translate departmental priorities into well-organized student experiences that contribute to a connected and engaged campus community. The Assistant Director is responsible for coordinating assigned SEA programs, activities, traditions, and events, including event logistics, schedules, resources, work orders, purchasing, and communication with NCF departments and campus partners. The position supports collaborative programming across campus and is accountable for the successful execution of assigned initiatives.
The Assistant Director recruits, hires, trains, supervises, and develops the Student Event Team (SET), providing regular guidance and leadership development related to event planning, execution, and student engagement. The position supports program promotion, student outreach, assessment, and budget management, using student feedback and participation to help inform future programming. The Assistant Director also works with the Director to support student organization initiatives, leadership development, and volunteer and civic engagement, including student advising, RSO processes, and volunteer opportunities as assigned.

Hire, train, supervise, and develop members of the Student Event Team (SET). Provide ongoing mentorship through weekly individual meetings, weekly team meetings, and semester-based leadership development training focused on student growth, event management, and professional skill development.
Support the Student Event Team (SET) in planning and executing programs throughout the academic year. Provide guidance on event coordination, logistics, and day-of-event operations, while assessing program effectiveness, student participation, and overall impact to support continuous improvement and student engagement goals.
Support the Director of Student Engagement and Activities (SEA) to advance strategic priorities through the planning and execution of campus-wide programs, events, and engagement initiatives. Assist in managing budgets by forecasting expenses, tracking expenditures, allocating resources, and supporting effective financial planning and decision-making.
Manage student and departmental event scheduling and space coordination, working with NCF departments to minimize scheduling conflicts, encourage collaboration, and maximize student engagement. Coordinate event logistics, including work orders, equipment needs, resource allocation, and supervision of Equipment Technical Assistants (EQTAs).
Collaborate with NCF departments and programs to develop partnerships that support the Division of Student Affairs' mission and enhance campus programs, services, and student engagement opportunities.
