Job summary

Prairie View A&M University is seeking a Student Hourly Assistant for the Distance Learning CIITS unit. You will support daily lab operations, assist with IT equipment setup, and help with accessibility projects and multimedia tasks.

Applicants must be PVAMU students enrolled in at least 6 undergrad or 9 grad credits and in good standing. Weekend/evening availability is required; no prior experience is necessary.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled at Prairie View A&M University for at least six undergraduate or nine graduate credits.
• Must be in good academic standing (SAP) with a minimum 2.0 GPA.
• No prior work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain computers in the lab and daily operations.
• Keep inventory and place supply orders; track maintenance.
• Set up and shut down the lab per schedule.
• Provide technical support to faculty, staff and students via phone, email, or in person.
• Assist with setup of computers, printers, webcams, and scanners.
• Support accessibility projects with instructional designers.
• Assist multimedia team with video records or live events.
• Be available to work weekends and evenings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
