Comal ISD Transportation in New Braunfels, Texas seeks a Transportation Student Discipline Coordinator to develop and administer bus discipline policies and staff training programs. You will coordinate with the safety department to ensure effective training and maintain professional communication with campus administrators and the community.

The role requires five+ years in school administration or pupil transportation, a preferred Bachelor's degree, and TAPT or equivalent certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Texas School Bus Driver Safety Training Certificate or willing to obtain.
• Certified or willing to obtain TAPT certification as Pupil Transportation Official/Supervisor/Specialist/Trainer.
• Strong organization and presentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication.
• Computer literacy in Word, PowerPoint and spreadsheets.
• Ability to coordinate campus support operations.
• Five+ years of school administration or pupil transportation experience.

Responsabilités

• Develop a student discipline management system that results in positive student behavior.
• Deal sensitively and fairly with persons from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Ensure that school rules are uniformly observed, and that student discipline is appropriate and equitable.
• Conduct conferences on student and transportation issues with parents, students, and staff.
• Use appropriate and effective techniques to encourage community and parent involvement.
• Maintain and use key pupil transportation data to track progress and improve safety and security on buses specific to student behavior.
• Documents and manages campus administrators, parent, and employee complaints specific to student behavior on the school bus.
• Prepare and administer appropriate training and education to transportation employees specific to student behavior management.
• Conduct investigations into student and/or parent complaints specific to behavior occurring on the school bus.
• Works cooperatively with campus administrators' investigating allegations occurring on the school bus.
• Prepares and submits required reports in a timely manner.
• Supervises compliance with Comal ISD policies and/or processes by action and speech. Discusses any breach of policy and procedure noted with the Director of Transportation.
• Cooperates with all Comal ISD Student Transportation Services personnel, campus administrators, parents, students, and communities.
• Responsible for properly maintaining district records, adhering to all policies set forth by the district for records maintenance and learning the records retention schedule for department records.
• Participates in professional development to improve skills related to job assignment.
• Other duties as assigned.
