Job summary

New Braunfels Transportation is seeking an Safety Training & Operations Coordinator to lead the training and oversight of the school bus fleet, ensuring compliance with TEA rules and NBISD guidelines.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with experience in driver training, safety reporting, and collaboration with campus principals and parents.

Qualifications

• Education/Certification as listed for School Bus operations and safety.
• Strong leadership, organization and presentation skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with principals, staff, students and parents.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google tools and mapping.

Responsibilities

• Assist drivers/monitors with student management concerns.
• Access bus video surveillance for safety and security.
• Develop and supervise driver training to meet NBISD standards.
• Coordinate driver in-service training and re-training as needed.
• Maintain training records and state/federal compliance documents.
• Provide inputs to Emergency Operations and Planning procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
