Job summary

Comal ISD Transportation in New Braunfels, TX seeks a Dispatcher to coordinate daily driver, routing, and vehicle activities to ensure safe, on-time student transportation. A flexible schedule and strong communication with campus staff and drivers are essential.

Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, CDL with P&S endorsements, TEA Certification, and willingness to obtain TAPT certification. Routing/dispatching experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CDL with P&S endorsements is required.
• TEA Certification is required.
• Willingness to obtain TAPT certification as needed.
• Six months of driver experience is preferred.
• Routing/dispatching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily driver, routing, and vehicle activities to ensure on-time service.
• Assist drivers with routing directions and special service requirements.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate emergency response when issues occur on routes.
• Maintain filing systems and complete required reports to Area Supervisor or Director of Transportation.
• Monitor communications and ensure safe, smooth transportation operations.
• Participate in professional development to stay current with transportation best practices.
