San Francisco Bay University is seeking a motivated student to support the Office of Institutional Research on a part-time basis. This hands-on role offers exposure to surveys, data preparation, data collection, and reporting within a university setting.

It is a non-exempt, onsite position for Spring 2027, totaling 100 hours. Responsibilities include creating descriptive tables in Excel, supporting data collection, and preparing visual aids using Canva and Tableau.

Qualifications

• Must be a current San Francisco Bay University student (NOT eligible if graduating in May 2027 or Summer 2027).
• Part-time, onsite position for Spring 2027, total of 100 hours; ends after 100 hours.
• Ability to visit classrooms for surveys and support data collection.
• Strong attention to detail and dependability; able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to communicate promptly and professionally via email, Google Chat (or Slack).
• Basic familiarity with Google Docs, Sheets, Slides and Canva; interest in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Help create descriptive tables in excel (from survey results).
• Support data collection (e.g., visit classrooms to administer surveys) & data entry tasks.
• Help prepare visual aids (e.g., charts, tables, slides) for reports or presentations using Canva and/or Tableau.
• Able to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
