Job summary

UC San Francisco seeks a data-focused research analyst to gather, analyze, and interpret diverse research data. You will design instruments, select samples, run statistical analyses, and prepare reports with charts and tables to communicate findings.

The role covers data systems, study planning, implementation, and reporting, with collaboration across departments. Experience with Python and project management tools is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 1+ year of relevant experience or equivalent training.
• Knowledge of research function and ability to perform research analysis duties.
• Working skills in statistical analysis, systems programming, database design and data security measures.
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly, in writing and verbally.
• Experience using project management software such as SmartSheets and familiarity with Epic (or similar EHR).

Responsibilities

• Conducts statistical studies in support of research proposals and protocols.
• Maintains and develops data gathering, retrieval and reporting systems.
• Plans studies, designs survey instruments and determines sampling/ reporting procedures.
• Collaborates on design, documentation, testing and implementation of research studies.
• Prepares reports and analyses for internal department constituents.
• Assists in organizing data to analyze trends and report findings.
