Job summary

The University of East London is seeking a proactive Student Conduct Officer to join the Student Conduct Team at Docklands Campus on a 9-month, full-time contract. The role supports disciplinary processes, maintains accurate case records, and provides a professional, compassionate response to sensitive matters in line with UEL policies.

You will work with staff, students and the public, ensuring due process is followed, data is protected, and policies are clear and up to date.

Qualifications

• To be successful in this role, you will have experience of supporting and dealing with sensitive and sometimes complex matters in a fair, professional and compassionate way.
• You will be highly organised, able to manage competing priorities and deadlines, and confident in maintaining accurate and confidential case records.
• You will understand the importance of confidentiality, data protection, equality and inclusion when working with a diverse student community.

Responsibilities

• The role holder will support the Senior Student Disciplinary Officer and Student Conduct Manager in maintaining and regulating student conduct, within the university and the wider community.
• The role holder will provide a professional response for staff, student or public reports of student misconduct and will support staff to follow due process as per UEL policies and procedures.
• The role holder will have experience supporting disciplinary processes and will have experience maintaining accurate records and data.
• The role holder will be pro-active in working with colleagues across the university to ensure that policies, procedures and service in relation to student conduct and reporting are clear, up to date and effective.
