Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a high-agency program operator to scale its student community efforts across the Americas. You will own systems and rhythms, coordinate across North America and Latin America, and resolve gaps as the program grows.

Build structure from ambiguity and move between operations, regional coordination, and direct student support. This role balances program operations, cross-functional collaboration, and documentation, with a focus on scalable processes and stakeholder alignment

Qualifications

• 5+ years in program management or related roles.
• Strong systems thinking; experience with Airtable or CRM.
• Excellent execution in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams across teams, timelines, and deliverables.
• Strong written communication for updates, documentation, and reporting.
• Comfort working with internal teams, agencies, contractors, and regional partners.
• High interest in AI and how students use it to learn, build, and create.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day program operations across recruitment, candidate review, onboarding, student support, activations, and end-of-cycle programming.
• Build, maintain, and improve Airtable and other source-of-truth systems for student recruitment, selection, onboarding, events, reporting, and feedback.
• Own dashboards and weekly reporting that show program progress, risks, blockers, decisions, and next steps.
• Coordinate across Experience, Localization, Editorial, Strategy & Ops, agency partners, and cross-functional teams to close dependencies and keep work on track.
• Build operating rhythms, templates, checklists, documentation, and handoff processes that help the program scale.
• Partner with community managers to capture student needs, product feedback, program gaps, standout use cases, and emerging regional trends.
• Surface unclear ownership or missing support early and drive agreed next steps through completion.
