Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant to support patient care on the 2nd shift. The role requires 20 hours per week with a schedule of 3:00PM - 11:30PM and weekend/holiday rotation.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily patient care, documenting vital signs in the EMR, and supporting RN during admissions, transfers, and discharges. The role emphasizes infection prevention and age-appropriate patient care.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in high school at MAS.
• BLS certification to be obtained within 45 days.
• Nurse Aide in good standing as indicated with the WI State Registry.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily care of patients including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding and ambulation.
• Documents vital signs and patient data in EMR.
• Performs rounding and communicates observations to RN.
• Assists in admission, transfer and discharge processes.
• Maintains supplies, cleans equipment and supports patient transport.
• Ensures infection prevention practices and proper attire are followed.
• Provides age-appropriate care according to department policies.
