Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a CNA to assist the RN with daily patient care, including bathing, feeding, and ambulation, in a hospital setting. You will measure and document vitals, perform rounds, and help with admissions, transfers, and discharges under supervision.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, charting, maintaining patient belongings, and ensuring call lights are answered promptly. Must maintain competency and follow infection control policies.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to set priorities are needed.
• Certification Addendum: hospital certifications may be required annually.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, hygiene, feeding, and ambulation.
• Record and document vitals (BP, TPR, I&O, weights) in EMR.
• Perform purposeful rounds and relay observations to RN promptly.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges under RN supervision.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care tests per procedure.
