You will provide individualized coaching, develop career programs, and connect with employers, faculty, and community partners to expand opportunities.

This role emphasizes relationship-building, hands-on advising, and helping learners prepare for employment, internships, and graduate studies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree in higher education, student affairs, career development, or a related field preferred.
• Demonstrated experience advising, counseling, coaching, or supporting students or clients in career, employment, or professional development matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide career advising and coaching to undergraduate, graduate, and adult students and alumni through appointments, drop-ins, virtual resources, workshops, and events.
• Develop, deliver, and assess career development workshops and programs responsive to student needs and employment trends.
• Assist students with resumes, cover letters, interviewing skills, and professional presentation.
• Coach students on effective job and internship search strategies.
• Support students exploring graduate and professional programs.
• Utilize Handshake and other career-development resources for students and employers.
• Collaborate with the Alumni Office to develop career connections and networking opportunities.
