Job summary

ADM Community School District is seeking an ADM Middle School Associate to support 7th & 8th grade students in Adel, Iowa. The role runs roughly 7:30am-3:45pm Monday-Thursday and shorter Friday hours, assisting teachers and guiding students toward positive outcomes.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to reinforce skills and behavior goals, maintain confidentiality, and promote a nurturing learning environment for diverse learners in a primary school setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work well with staff, parents, and students.

Responsibilities

• Work with individual students or in small groups to help achieve skills and understanding of class material.
• Assist in devising strategies for reinforcing material or skills tailored to individual students.
• Alert the regular teacher to problems or special information regarding a student.
• Supervise students during arrival, recess, dismissal and lunch periods.
