Job Description

The ADM School District is looking for dynamic, passionate student-focused associates to substitute in our K-12 buildings. The staff at ADM is incredibly caring and who work in a collaborative manner.

The approximate hours for this position are 7:30am-3:45pm M-Th and 7:30am-1:15pm Fri

The associate role is one to assist the teacher in supporting specific learning goals by working with individual students or small groups to help them achieve appropriate skill levels.

Responsibilities
  • Work with individual students or in small groups to help achieve skills and understanding of class material
  • Work with a wide range of various needs, including academic, behavior and social Examples:
    • Reads to students, listens to students read and participates in other forms of oral communication with the students
    • Guides each student toward making appropriate choices and accepting responsibility for their own behavior
  • Assisting the teacher in devising special strategies for reinforcing material or skills based on an understanding of individual students, their needs, interests, and abilities
  • Alerts the regular teacher to any problem or special information regarding an individual student
  • Supervises students outside during arrival, recess, dismissal and may provide lunchroom supervision
