Job summary

Cape Fear Community College is seeking a Career Counselor to guide students through career exploration, program choices, admissions, and related academic planning. You will develop and lead career exploration workshops, coordinate with faculty, and help promote services and events campus-wide.

The role includes tracking outcomes such as coaching appointments, resume reviews, mock interviews, and employer referrals, while staying informed about local employment trends and reporting on performance

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in guidance or counseling.
• Experience in career counseling or advising in an educational setting.
• Ability to develop and deliver workshops and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Provide career counseling for undecided students and help set goals.
• Administer career assessments and share exploration information.
• Develop and execute career exploration activities and workshops.
• Promote Career Services events through marketing plans and presentations.
• Track and report metrics: appointments, resumes, mock interviews, placements.
