Job summary

American University is seeking a part-time Residence Maintenance Crew member to support Housing and Residence Life's Residential Operations Team. You will respond to 2FIX requests, assist with furniture setup, and help maintain safe, functional living spaces across campus.

Qualifications

• Must be a current American University student.
• Ability to assist with 2FIX requests and furniture setup.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist Facilities Specialists in responding to 2FIX requests and coordinate with Supervisors.
• Add, remove, and replace furniture in residents’ rooms.
• Inspect facilities for damage or safety issues and report as needed.
• Track inventory and consult supervisors on replacements.
• Install and remove lofts each semester.
• Event set-ups for residence hall meeting spaces.
