Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Outdoor Education, Adventure Education, Outdoor Leadership, Experiential Education or closely related discipline; or a Bachelor’s degree with professional level certification from a recognized organization.
• One year of successful college teaching experience in the subject area.
• Current valid driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment and ability to complete COCC Driving Policy
• Wilderness First Responder Certification

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in Outdoor Leadership courses including lecturing and guiding in classroom activities, with possible day and evening classes and classes on/off campus.
• Maintain office hours and be available to students outside of class; minimum one office hour per week per course.
• Cooperate with COCC Outdoor Leadership faculty and staff to support student learning progress.
• Act as a resource person for students.
• Perform other essential duties as assigned.
