Job summary

enCircle is seeking a Student Support Professional to work with Minnick Schools staff in Roanoke, VA. You will lead groups, respond to crises, and collect data while supporting students with behavioral plans and wellness activities.

The role emphasizes collaboration with administration and teachers, delivering crisis interventions, and coordinating family engagement. A bachelor’s in social work or similar field is required, with a master’s preferred and a valid VA license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or related human services field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years of experience working with families and children.
• Valid Virginia Driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Ability to acquire First Aid, CPR Certification and Safety Care.
• Good oral, written, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain records and required paperwork timely.

Responsibilities

• Practice crisis management involving students K-12 and across all disabilities.
• Assess level of crisis to determine necessary interventions.
• Facilitate weekly groups for elementary, middle, and high school students.
• Plan and implement two annual after-school parent programs with community stakeholders.
• Assist administrator with increasing parental engagement.
• Cooperate with staff to document and track progress with behaviors per Daily School Report.
• Review data trends and present findings to administrators.
• Attend IEP meetings as needed and coordinate with school staff.
