Job summary

Santa Clara University is seeking a Basic Needs Coordinator to oversee campus resources for food, housing, and finances. The role includes leading program development, referrals, and advocacy for students in need, reporting to the Assistant Dean of Students within the CARE System.

It requires a strong commitment to Jesuit values and cura personalis. This fixed-term, full-time position runs through June 30, 2029, with on-campus housing available as an option.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree strongly preferred.
• Minimum 3 years addressing student well-being or basic needs.
• Minimum 3 years in an academic setting; counseling and student life experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Maxient case management software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead basic needs functions and serve as primary campus contact for services.
• Develop and implement resources, programs, events to address student basic needs.
• Direct the Food Insecurity and Bronco Pantry program including logistics, intake, fundraising, assessment and referral.
• Participate in Student Well-Being Team and on-call rotation for student safety and support.
• Collaborate with internal units and external partners to expand basic needs resources.
