Job summary

Santa Clara University is seeking a Basic Needs Coordinator to oversee resources and services for students facing food, housing, and financial insecurities within the CARE System. Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Students, this role leads referrals, partnerships, and program delivery to support student well-being.

The position is a full-time, 12-month, fixed-term appointment ending June 30, 2029, with potential on-campus housing in a residence hall.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years addressing student well-being or basic needs in higher education.
• Experience in academic settings such as student life or counseling is preferred.
• Knowledge of food security programs (e.g., CalFresh) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and evaluate all basic needs programs and policies on campus.
• Oversee the Bronco Pantry, food insecurity initiatives, and fundraising.
• Collaborate with counseling, financial aid, and student services to coordinate referrals.
• Prepare annual impact reports and performance metrics.
• Coordinate on-call rotations and crisis response as needed.
