Job summary

Stanford University is seeking a Basic Needs Student Care Coordinator to provide non-clinical case management and coordination for the Dean of Students Office and FLISSC. The role reports to the Senior Associate Dean of Students and collaborates with DoS and FLISSC teams to support students facing basic needs challenges.

Qualifications

  • Advanced skills as a student affairs professional, including expertise in facilitating student learning, development, and success.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of issues surrounding socioeconomic class, identity and intersectionality.
  • Solid knowledge of mental health issues in the college and graduate/professional student population.
  • Strong leadership and strategic management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide case management and individualized support to students experiencing basic needs challenges.
  • Serve as liaison between the DoS and FLISSC ensuring coordinated support.
  • Connect students to campus and community resources and advocate on their behalf.
  • Administer key basic needs initiatives including the Student Emergency Fund and Basic Needs Pantry.
  • Design and assess programs, outreach, and education to foster belonging and student success.
  • Develop partnerships and evaluate outcomes to improve campus basic needs services.
  • Assist with Dean of Students administrative operations and policies.
