Job summary

University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point seeks an Event Technical Services Technician in the University Centers Operations to support events with sound, lighting, and A/V gear. You will set up, operate, and maintain equipment and provide friendly on-site customer service to event attendees and staff.

This student hourly position reports to the ETS Student Manager and the Event Production Coordinator; part-time hours range 5–15 per week, with some weekend shifts and late hours.

Qualifications

• Must be available 5–15 hours per week during the semester, including rotating weekend shifts.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work with limited supervision.
• Must pass Criminal Background Check and complete CPR, AED, and First Aid within 8 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain sound, lighting, and A/V equipment for events.
• Provide in-person and remote customer service via phone and email; assist staff as needed.
