Qualifications

• Desire to support students and families in overcoming barriers to attendance and improving achievement.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with students and families preferred; background in social work, counseling, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support student attendance and academic achievement by monitoring attendance data and identifying chronic absenteeism.
• Build positive relationships with students and families and develop strategies to improve attendance and engagement.
• Coordinate with school staff to implement attendance interventions and attend related meetings.
• Participate in attendance-related court proceedings when required and provide documentation and testimony as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student contacts, family communications, and attendance records.
