Job summary

Cambridge Public Schools is seeking a Student Athlete Academic Mentor to organize academic support for student athletes throughout the school year. You will coordinate with CRLS Coaches, Cambridge School Volunteers, and teachers to structure tutoring and study hall, ensuring academic success.

The role requires prior experience with high school student-athletes, strong organization, independent work, and clear attendance records.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with high school student-athletes.
• Ability to be organized, work independently, communicate effectively, and keep clear and accurate attendance records.

Responsibilities

• Organize academic support systems for student athletes throughout the school year.
• Identify students who participate on athletic teams and need academic support to achieve academic success.
• Communicate with CRLS Coaches to create an academic support structure for students in need.
• Coordinate with Cambridge School Volunteers or teachers to identify tutoring needed for individual needs.
• Communicate with students and parents to share setup structure and expectations for academic support and success.
• Assist the Director of Athletics with quarterly academic eligibility checks and provide progress reports.
