Job summary

The University of North Florida Alumni Association seeks an Academic Coordinator to support student-athletes from matriculation to graduation. You will provide holistic academic support, monitor progress, and assist with coordinating programs and development initiatives, including orientation and career planning.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.
• Ability to monitor academic progress and coordinate programs for student-athletes.

Responsibilities

• Provides academic support to student-athletes and assists with academic coaching in study skills, time management, organizational skills, and other aspects of student life.
• Meets regularly with students to monitor academic progress, class attendance, and grades; communicates progress to coaching staff.
• Provides information to student-athletes and coaches regarding academic requirements and eligibility.
• Assists in course scheduling, career planning, and liaison between student-athletes and faculty, departments, and advisors.
• Monitors and tracks athletic eligibility and academic progress with certifying officer and advisors.
• Participates in the recruiting process by meeting with prospective student-athletes.
• Assists in developing student-athlete orientation and development programs.
