Job summary

The University of North Florida Board of Trustees seeks an Academic Coordinator in the Athletics department to support student-athletes from matriculation to graduation. You will monitor academic progress, assist with program coordination, and develop student-athlete development events.

Responsibilities include academic coaching, class attendance tracking, liaison with faculty, scheduling assistance, and reporting progress to coaching staff.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to provide holistic academic support and monitor progress of student-athletes.
• Experience coordinating academic programs and student-athlete development initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provides academic support to student-athletes and assists with academic coaching in study skills, time management, organizational skills, and other aspects of student life.
• Meets regularly with students to monitor academic progress, class attendance, and grades.
• Communicates student-athletes' academic progress to coaching staff weekly.
• Provides information to student-athletes and coaches regarding institutional policies and eligibility.
• Assists in course scheduling, career planning, and other university academic requirements.
• Serves as a liaison between student-athletes and faculty, academic departments, and advisors.
• Monitors and tracks athletic eligibility and progress in collaboration with compliance staff.
• Participates in recruiting by meeting prospective student-athletes in assigned sports.
• Assists in development of orientation and development programs for student-athletes.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
