Job summary

The Pennsylvania State University’s Morgan Academic Center seeks an Intermediate Professional to oversee academic support for football student-athletes, reporting to the Director for Football Academic Support Services. The role includes tracking progress, guiding eligibility, and collaborating with coaches and campus resources.

Responsibilities include teaching a first-year seminar, recruiting meetings with families, and ensuring compliance with NCAA and Big Ten rules.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counselor education, college student personnel, psychology, social work, education, higher education administration, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the academic support and counseling services for assigned football student-athletes.
• Track and monitor student-athlete academic progress and eligibility.
• Communicate student-athlete academic progress to coaching staffs, athletic administration, and the MAC Director.
• Teach one section of the student-athlete first-year seminar course.
• Refer student-athletes to other appropriate University resources.
• Meet with prospective student-athletes and families throughout the recruiting process.
• Collaborate with MAC staff and university personnel to fulfill duties.
• Evening and weekend hours will be required (study hall and recruiting).
• Maintain strict adherence to NCAA and Big Ten rules and regulations.
