Job summary

Arizona State University’s ASU Outreach Hub is seeking a Student Assistant to support Alumni Engagement efforts, including drafting presentations, maintaining databases, and assisting with campaigns. The role offers 15–25 hours weekly with hybrid schedule.

You will collaborate across marketing, digital performance, and project management teams, gain hands-on experience with Salesforce and Wrike, and contribute to Sun Devil Rewards initiatives while learning in a data-driven environment.

Qualifications

  • A current ASU student pursuing a degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
  • Willingness to sign a confidentiality agreement.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRMs.

Responsibilities

  • Create initial drafts of presentations and briefs for stakeholders.
  • Maintain reporting decks and documents as assigned.
  • Assist with maintenance of the alumni story database on the ASU Alumni site.
  • Lead select projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute to projects related to alumni engagement and Sun Devil Rewards.

Job description

Student Assistant - Alumni EngagementThe ASU Outreach Hub, a central support unit in an enterprise-level marketing and communications ecosystem, is seeking a Student Assistant - Alumni Outreach. This position will perform varied tasks to support efforts that increase alumni involvement and promote life-long connections to ASU. The Outreach Hub partners with Sun Devil Athletics, the ASU Alumni Association, Learning Enterprise, ASU colleges and schools, and other stakeholders to build synergies in outreach efforts and shared outcomes. Tasks will include leading and assisting with engagement projects and campaigns, conducting research and data analysis, creating presentations and contributing to engagement strategies and tactics.This position will report to the Alumni Outreach Manager and will work 15-25 hours per week during the fall and spring semester with extended hours available during the summer, spring, and winter breaks.What you’ll doCreate initial drafts of presentations as well as briefs/memos for stakeholdersMaintain reporting decks and documents as assignedAssist with maintenance of the alumni story database, including its representation on the ASU Alumni siteLead select projects and assist with other assignments related to alumni engagementOpportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams across the ASU Outreach Hub including marketing and digital performance, creative, and project managementContribute to projects related to the success of Sun Devil RewardsReview current literature and research on alumni engagement strategiesAssist in documenting alumni engagement efforts across the ASU EnterpriseAssist with analyzing data from internal and external partnersUtilize tools like Salesforce (CRM), Wrike (project management software), Google and Microsoft suites to assist as neededOther duties as assignedWhat you'll needWillingness to learn and develop skills with a data driven teamKnowledge of Google Drive, MS Outlook, Word, and ExcelCollaborative style, combined with the ability and desire to work in a team-based environmentAbility to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and responsibility regarding information related to Enterprise Partners, its subsidiaries and University business and confidential prospect informationStrong and collegial interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing, and by phoneAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamProblem solver who can take initiative and set priorities while being flexibleAn advocate’s belief in the vision of ASU as the New American UniversityHigh attention to detail and thoroughness in completing assigned dutiesHighly organized and able to handle multiple projectsAdept at navigating complex environments with evolving priorities and communication plansRelevant qualifications:A current student at Arizona State University pursuing a degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field with a willingness to learn.
