Qualifications

• Six months to two years of similar or related experience.
• High school education or GED required.
• Bondable per college bonding contract.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in cash handling and financial balancing.
• Experienced in reconciliation processes.
• Skilled with data entry, spreadsheets and word processing.
• Effective communication and organizational abilities.
• Flexible hours including peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Bills and collects student fees; responds to student questions and inquiries.
• Reconciles cash receipts and web payment systems; prepares bank deposits.
• Assists in calculating and processing cash and financial aid refunds.
• Manages the collection of bad debts.
• Reviews accuracy of student accounts and places holds.
• Assists in balancing accounts receivable ledgers.
• Serves as backup for the Senior Accounts Receivable Technician.
• Files and maintains cashier office records.
• Reviews and maintains student account payment plans.
• Assists with special accounting projects as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
