Job summary

St. Charles Community College is seeking a Student Ambassador to help tell the SCC story and connect prospective students with campus culture.

You will lead campus tours, participate in events, and serve as a representative for SCC, gaining leadership and professional development skills. As a Student Ambassador, you will interact with faculty, staff, and industry professionals, build valuable connections, and contribute to a welcoming campus environment while maintaining enrollment and GPA

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled student at St. Charles Community College; maintain enrollment of a minimum of 6 credit hours for fall & spring semesters.
• Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 throughout employment.
• Strong communication via phone, email, and social media with prospective students.
• Outgoing, positive, and professional demeanor; able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Demonstrated reliability, initiative, and ability to follow through and complete tasks independently.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to support events.
• Attending training sessions and team meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging campus tours and events (open houses, student panels/workshops, student services events).
• Welcome visitors and students, answer phone calls and questions at the Visitor Welcome Center.
• Provide office support and data entry, prepare information packets, and organize offices.
• Represent the college at community events in collaboration with the recruiting department; flexible schedule including weekends and evenings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Administrative Tasks: Provide office support, which mayinclude data entry, preparing information packets, and generaloffice organization.
• Community Awareness Events - Collaborate with ourrecruiting department to represent the college at community events;requires a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current Enrollment - Be a currently enrolled student atSt. Charles Community College; maintain enrollment of a minimum of6 credit hours for the fall & spring semester.
• Academic Standing - Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of2.5 throughout the employment period.
• Communication Skills - via phone, email, and socialmedia with prospective students.
• Attitude & Professionalism - An outgoing, positive,and professional demeanor, with a genuine desire to help others andwork collaboratively as part of a team.
• Dependability - Demonstrated reliability, initiative,and the ability to follow through and complete tasksindependently.
