Brown University is seeking a Student Affairs Manager to independently administer the undergraduate and graduate programs for the Department of Classics and the Department of Comparative Literature. You will collaborate with DGS, DUS, Chairs, and others to ensure compliant, smoothly run programs while tracking student progress and handling inquiries.
The role supports both graduate and undergraduate students, maintains timely reporting, and provides backup coverage for staff as needed.
This position works independently to manage all administrativeaspects of the undergraduate and graduate programs for theDepartment of Classics and the Department of ComparativeLiterature. The incumbent works directly with the Directors ofGraduate Studies (DGS), the Directors of Undergraduate Studies(DUS), the Department Chairs, the Academic Department Team Manager(ADTM), the School of Professional Studies (SPS), the GraduateSchool, and the Registrar among other offices on campus to managethe administrative and reporting needs of the programs and toensure that student programs are effectively run and withincompliance of relevant university procedures and policy.
The incumbent will assist with graduate student recruitment andorientation, track both graduate and undergraduate student progressand be the first point of contact for student inquiries.
This position ensures students and faculty are fullysupported.
When needed, this position will provide backup support for otherstaff members.
