Job summary

West Georgia Technical College invites applications for an Admissions Counselor/Recruiter to connect prospective students with educational and career opportunities. You will guide students through the admissions and enrollment process, review files, and collaborate with K-12 partners and community organizations.

You will represent WGTC at high schools, career fairs, and events, providing accurate program guidance, prerequisites, timelines, and next steps to help students make informed choices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of related work experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Understanding of FERPA and privacy regulations.
• Experience in college admissions counseling or recruitment preferred.
• Experience with Banner SIS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a welcoming contact for prospective and admitted students.
• Represent WGTC at high schools, career fairs, community events.
• Guide students through admissions, enrollment, and program options.
• Audit admission files to ensure documents meet requirements.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure a positive student experience.
• Participate in departmental and college-wide planning.
