Job summary

The College of Coastal Georgia invites applications for an Admissions Counselor/Recruiter at our Brunswick campus. This full-time role focuses on recruiting transfer students, special populations, and out-of-state freshmen, guiding them through information sessions, advising, and the transfer process.

The incumbent will collaborate with high schools, technical colleges, and community partners to build articulation agreements, coordinate campus events, and maintain recruitment records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a field related to the occupational area.
• Must possess a current valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and pass a yearly Motor Vehicle Report review.
• More than one year of related experience.
• Two years of experience in recruiting, sales, higher education or related field preferred.
• Familiarity with student information systems and/or customer relationship management systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Access/PowerPoint/Excel).
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist departmental leadership in setting new student enrollment targets, defining key schools, and devising strategies to reach targets.
• Manages recruitment and admissions for transfer, non-traditional, non-degree, and out of state students and works toward enrollment goals.
• Provide high contact with prospective students, applicants, accepted students and families to increase interest in the College.
• Serve as in-house enrollment counselor for admissions inquiries and campus visitors with strong customer service.
• Develop external relations with technical colleges, community colleges, and community partners to support transfer and enrollment.
• Coordinate on/off campus events for prospective out-of-state and transfer students including college fairs and international student mentoring.
• Evaluate, determine, and process admission for applicants via file reviews.
• Maintain accurate reports and records on recruitment, follow-up, enrollment, and yield.
• Perform related work as required.
