Job summary

Tacoma Public Schools is seeking a part-time Student Supervisor to monitor students during district-sponsored activities, programs, and events, promoting safe behavior and an orderly environment.

Requirements include high school graduation, background clearances, CPR/First Aid certification (or obtain within 30 days), and the ability to work with diverse groups. Schedule: 3 hours/day, 15 hours/week, with start on Sep 1, 2026.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of building policies for playground and lunchroom behavior.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others and engage with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Observes and monitors student behavior during activities, transitions, and events to promote safe, orderly conduct.
• Intervenes to support students and documents incidents in line with procedures.
• Assists staff and checks students in and out of supervised activities.
• Provides routine communication to program staff and school personnel about supervision matters.
