Job summary

Qualifications

  • High school graduation or equivalent.
  • Fingerprints and successful Washington State Patrol (WSP), FBI background, and sexual misconduct clearances required.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification required, or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Knowledge of building policies and procedures related to playground and lunchroom student behavior.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others.
  • Ability to exercise fairness in dealing with students.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work and student relationships with a variety of people in a multi-cultural, diverse socio-economic setting.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors students during District-sponsored activities, programs, and events to promote appropriate and safe behavior.
  • Intervenes as needed and documents incidents with supervisor guidance.
  • Supports student check-in/check-out and everyday supervision.
  • Communicates with program staff and district departments regarding daily operations and student supervision.
