Job summary

Tacoma Public Schools is seeking a part-time, 15-hour-per-week position to monitor students during district-sponsored activities, ensuring safety and orderly conduct. The role supports check-ins/check-outs and coordinates with staff to address behavior concerns.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days, and successful background clearances. Schedule determined by building principals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must pass Washington background checks (WSP, FBI) and sexual misconduct clearance.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification required or able to obtain within 30 days.
• Knowledge of building policies related to student behavior.

Responsibilities

• Monitor student behavior during District-sponsored activities and events to promote safe conduct.
• Intervene and document incidents per procedures with support from the principal or designee.
• Provide supervision in school environments during activities and support check-in/check-out processes.
• Communicate with program staff and District departments about daily operational and student supervision matters.
