Job summary

Tacoma Public Schools is seeking a part-time Student Supervisor to monitor students during District-sponsored activities, programs, and events after school, ensuring safety and orderly behavior. The position is 0.375 FTE, 3 hours per day (15 hours per week), 10-month schedule with 195 days.

CPR/First Aid required, background checks, and ability to work with a diverse student population. Reporting to building administrators with support from the ELO department and other staff, you will help check

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Fingerprints and background clearances required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or obtainable within 30 days.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to maintain positive relationships in a diverse setting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor student behavior during activities to promote safety.
• Intervene to support students; document incidents with administration.
• Assist in school environment during activities; monitor safety during transitions.
• Communicate with staff about daily supervision matters.
