Job summary

Tacoma Public Schools is seeking a part-time Student Activity Aide to monitor students during District-sponsored activities and events. You will promote appropriate behavior, maintain a safe environment, and support student safety under building leadership.

The role requires a high school diploma, background checks, and CPR/First Aid certification or the ability to obtain them within 30 days. Schedule is 3 hours per day (15 hours/week) with 10 months of work aligned to the school calendar.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent (Education & Experience).
• Fingerprints and background clearances required (WSP, FBI).
• CPR and First Aid certification required or within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor student behavior during activities to promote safety and order.
• Intervene to support students; document incidents as required.
• Support staff and check-in/check-out during transitions and events.
• Communicate operational matters to program staff and District departments.
